Anglo Nubians originate from crosses of Middle Eastern and Indian breeds in the 1800’s. Their origins from hot climate regions make them very hardy and so they have thrived in the Australian climate.

Anglo Nubians are recognised as having a higher butterfat percentage(>4%) and considered dual purpose because of their better fleshing qualities than the traditional Swiss breeds.
